Outer Banks Light to Light Charity Run

Chuck Parker plans to run from the Currituck Lighthouse to the Bodie Island Lighthouse, 40 miles, to raise funds for the Northeastern NC Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Contributions on a per mile basis are being accepted to support of this effort.

Chuck will run February 27th, 2010 starting at the Currituck Beach Lighthouse at 7 a.m.

2010 Oyster Fest on the Outer Banks – Stumpy Point’s 25th Annual!

Stumpy Point near the Outer Banks will be holding their 25th Annual Oyster Feast Saturday, February 13, 2010.

The event will be held at the Stumpy Point Community Center from noon to 5 p.m. and will include all you can eat fried and steamed oysters, fried fish, and all the trimmings. Participants can even look forward to a bake sale for dessert.

The cost is $25 for adults and $10 for children 10 and under.

The festival is, “all you can eat” fried and steamed oysters, fried fish, and all the fixings.

Directions to Stumpy Point: Take the Virginia Dare Memorial Bridge towards Roanoke. Follow Hwy 264 West and then South. You will drive through the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge. After several miles Stumpy Point will be the first fishing village on your left.
