Good morning.  Here’s the Outer Banks Beach, Surf, & Fishing Report for Wednesday, November 24, 2010.

Happy Turkey Day Eve.

This video was shot at 9:15 AM at the Kitty Hawk Pier.

It has been a gorgeous week of weather so far; bright sun, blue skies, and yesterday even hit the 70 degree mark…at the end of November!

Today isn’t too much different; the sun is shining and the sky is blue.  The temps have cooled off to the mid 50′s, but they’ll be back in the 60′s tomorrow, and we could see 70 degrees again on Friday.

The wind has switched today though.  The past few days we had a very light wind out of the south, and today the wind is blowing at about 15 mph out of the north, northeast.  It’s adding a chill to the air, and it’s chopping up the water.

Unfortunately, no surf for the forseeable future.  There is some wind swell, but it’s messy.  The choppy water has also slowed the fishing.  The past few days have seen good fishing with speckled trout, stripers, and rock fish near the bridges.  We haven’t seen many large rock fish or drum, but they’ll be here soon.  I’ve heard of one drum being caught in the surf at about 35 pounds.  Off shore, the tuna are biting.

I’ll be enjoying some Turkey, football, and time with the fam tomorrow, so I’lkl take this chance to wish y’all a great and happy Thanksgiving with your family and friends.

Enjoy!
