Good morning. Here’s your OBX Moment of Zen for Thursday, July 5, 2012.
This video was shot just south of the Kitty Hawk Pier at 8:30 AM.
Hope you enjoyed a great 4th of July. Awesome weather and awesome fireworks here on the OBX. The great weather continues. Sun, 90, light southwest breeze, warm water at 75+. More of the same through the weekend.
The ocean is flat. Lake Atlantic. A tiny longboard wave if you can find the right spot. Great for the kids and learning to surf. Some fun body surfing and skimming.
Fishing is going great. A wide variety of fish in the area – spot, croaker, blues, trout, Spanish mackerel, cobia, spade fish, flounder, sea mullet. Offshore = mahi, tuna, wahoo, and marlin.

Hope to see you soon. Have fun!

My only complaint is I wish it was a few degrees cooler.
Hi Laurie. It’s definitely a hot one! Only solution…jump in the ocean!
Hi Laurie. Glad you saw a great show. Definitely some great fireworks last night!
