Good morning everyone! This is Brandon from Outer Banks vacation rentals provider Seaside Vacations back with yet another Outer Banks Beach, Surf & Fishing Report for Wednesday, September 18, 2013.
The picture and video included in this post are from Kill Devil Hills this morning at 8:30 a.m.
It’s very windy this morning (see video) and although the sun is shining and temperatures are in the lower-70s, you may want to hang out at the pool until the wind dies down later today. Expect mostly cloudy conditions for the entire day with no chance of rain in the forecast. The wind is blowing from the NE at 11 mph this morning.
Waves this morning are about chest high and choppy. The strong on-shore wind has created some less than ideal conditions and as soon as the wind dies down a bit, head over to the beach and try to catch a few waves. It’s almost fall on the Outer Banks and ocean water temperatures are still very warm 72 degrees.
Not a bad day to go fishing on the OBX. Surf anglers reporting some Bluefish, Pompano, Sea Mullet and scattered Drum. Pier fisherman catching some Cobia, Spot, Croaker and Sea Mullet. Offshore boats weren’t able to go out yesterday due to the high winds. They may get a chance to land a few fish later today.

We hope to see you soon… Have fun!
