WinterLights at Elizabethan Gardens

Outer Banks Jubilee
Weekend Show Dates: December 6th and 7th (Show Starts at 7:30 pm)
The area’s biggest and best live music theater with live shows multiple times a a week year-round, the Outer Banks Jubilee was established about a year ago in the old Kitty Hawk Movie Theater. This weekend, there will be a “Christmas Times a Coming” live show that features classic holiday tunes including: Silent Night, Rudolf the Red a Nose Reindeer, Grandma Got Ran Over by a Reindeer among others.

Town of Manteo Christmas Tree Lighting and First Friday
Friday, December 6th
Come enjoy hot chocolate as the annual Christmas Tree Lighting in front of the Manteo Courthouse kicks off the holiday season on Roanoke Island. The historic Manteo waterfront area will be transformed into a festive holiday display with twinkling lights and plenty of holiday decorations and displays. The tree lighting ceremony begins at 6:00 pm on Friday night.
This will also be the last First Friday celebration of the 2013! The monthly festival held in downtown Manteo, the streets are filled with locals and visitors alike who are enjoying the small town’s boutiques, galleries and restaurants. There are also street vendors and we’ve already mentioned the live music!
25th Annual Outer Banks Festival of Trees
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, December 6, 7, 8
Hosted by Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head, North Carolina, the Festival of Trees is a 3-day event that will get even the Grinch in the holiday spirit. Event goers can enjoy festive lights, musical performances, (holiday of course) scrumptious snacks and drinks along with crafts and activities for the kids.

Town of Manteo Christmas Parade
Saturday, December 7th
Beginning at 10:30 am this Saturday, the Big Little Town Christmas Parade will begin its route from Manteo High School and continue on into the downtown Manteo waterfront. Festivities begin at 10:00 am with a chance to get your photo with Santa following the parade at the Roanoke Island Maritime Museum, located across from Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse. Over 50 floats are expected to be in this year’s parade.
Duck Yuletide Celebration
Saturday, December 7th (Parade Begins 3:00 pm)
A town-wide holiday celebration of yuletide cheer, enjoy the sounds of Emme St. James and Her Jazz Gentlemen on the Duck Town Green. Be sure to stick around for the arrival of Santa Clause and don’t miss out on the Duck Truck and the annual lighting of the Duck Town Crab Pot Tree. A complimentary trolley will make its way through the Town of Duck from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm for a fun, scenic way to explore the quaint town.

Christmas House with Amazing Lights in Kill Devil Hills
The famous “Christmas House” that has been previously visited by the celebrity weather man Al Roaker a few years ago, the Paulos family goes all out on holiday decorations each year. They spend several weeks/months with setup and the turn their thousands of twinkling, flashing and sparking lights on following Thanksgiving Day each year.
