Outer Banks Fishing Report – 10.8.10

Outer Banks Fishing

Outer Banks Fishing

Fall has officially arrived.  Summer crowds are gone.  Temps are cooling off.  And the Outer Banks fishing is heating up.

Here’s your OBX fishing report for 10/8/10:

  • Nags Head area:  Scattered blues, puppy drum and whiting in the surf and at piers.
  • Stripers to 10 pounds at Little Bridge near Manteo.
  • Oregon Inlet: Dolphin, a few white marlin and yellowfin tuna offshore when sea conditions are favorable.
  • Small stripers and trout at the Bonner Bridge.
  • Offshore:  Tuna, wahoo and dolphin will provide the best action in what is a waning bluewater fishery. Some white marlin and other billfish still could show.
  • In the sounds, speckled trout and puppy drum.
